I remember how it felt when I learned that Christ was still working on our behalf. That after all He suffered, He still intercedes. Even with all He has entitled us to, our greatest inheritance is His faithful devotion.

It's easy to sit Him on a high shelf, to hang Him on a wall in our hearts like a highly valued antique. As the world is buzzing around us, who looks and awaits the return of our "2,000-year-old" Redeemer? But trials fade in the face of the truth that the slain lamb of God is our living King and He will return for His bride.
